In the heart of Tamaulipas, the Reynosa Wind Farm stands as a symbol of the power of wind and SPIC-Zuma Energía’s commitment to a cleaner, more sustainable, and more prosperous future for Mexico. With an installed capacity of 424 megawatts, it is one of the largest wind farms in Latin America, delivering a steady supply of renewable energy equivalent to more than 1.1 million households every year. More than just an energy project, it is a statement of purpose — advancing community well-being, environmental stewardship, and responsible growth. Every turbine spinning in Reynosa represents a step toward a greener Mexico, less dependent on fossil fuels and aligned with global sustainability goals. This project helps prevent the emission of over 700,000 tons of CO₂ annually — the equivalent of planting more than 11 million trees.
At SPIC-Zuma Energía, we believe that energy development should go hand in hand with social progress. During the construction and operation of the Reynosa Wind Farm, we have created thousands of direct and indirect jobs, strengthening the local economy and promoting Mexican talent. We maintain an open and continuous dialogue with neighboring communities, supporting initiatives in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and skills development. Our commitment is to create shared value and be a long-term partner in the region’s growth.
