Day of the Dead Celebration at SPIC-Zuma Energía: Honoring Culture and Strengthening Coexistence
At SPIC-Zuma Energía, we celebrate one of Mexico's most emblematic traditions: the Day of the Dead. This holiday, which takes place every November 1 and 2, is a special occasion to remember and honor loved ones who are no longer with us.

As part of our activities, we placed an ofrenda in our offices in honor of iconic figures of Mexican culture, such as painters Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, and actors Pedro Infante and María Félix. The ofrenda was decorated with traditional elements, such as marigold flowers and candles, which filled the space with color and meaning, paying tribute to those who represent the soul of Mexico.
The celebration continued with activities that promoted coexistence and creativity. Our employees joined in by painting their faces as skulls, inspired by the figures of La Catrina and El Catrín, characters that reflect Mexicans' relationship with death. We also shared pan de muerto and hot chocolate, enjoying together these traditional flavors that connect us with our roots.
To close the day, we organized a horror story session, where collaborators shared stories and legends that added a touch of mystery and fun. It was an excellent opportunity to strengthen ties as a team and celebrate the cultural richness of Mexico.
At SPIC-Zuma Energía, we deeply value traditions and cultural diversity, as we believe that these experiences enrich our environment and strengthen our bonds as a community. Celebrating the Day of the Dead allows us not only to remember our roots, but also to share them with those around us.
