Ubicado en la vibrante región de Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco, el Parque Solar Potrero es un testimonio de la dedicación de SPIC-Zuma Energía para avanzar el panorama de energía renovable de México. Con una capacidad instalada de 296 megavatios, Potrero es uno de los proyectos solares más importantes del país, aprovechando la energía del sol para iluminar un camino sostenible hacia adelante. Equipado con paneles fotovoltaicos bifaciales de última generación , Potrero captura la luz solar de ambos lados, mejorando la eficiencia y maximizando la producción de energía. Este enfoque innovador permite al parque generar aproximadamente 750 GWh de electricidad limpia al año, suficiente para alimentar el equivalente a más de 350,000 hogares mexicanos. Al compensar más de 345,000 toneladas de emisiones de CO₂ cada año, Potrero juega un papel fundamental en la lucha contra el cambio climático y la promoción de la gestión ambiental.

Más allá de la generación de energía, el Parque Solar Potrero está profundamente comprometido con el bienestar de las comunidades locales y la preservación de la rica biodiversidad de la región. El proyecto ha creado más de 1500 empleos durante su fase de construcción, impulsando el crecimiento económico y brindando valiosa capacitación. Las iniciativas ambientales incluyen el monitoreo diario de especies endémicas, como la rana excavadora Smilisca dentata, lo que garantiza que el desarrollo se integre con la naturaleza. Además, la Clínica Churintzio, operada íntegramente por el dedicado personal de Potrero, ofrece servicios de atención primaria y medicamentos gratuitos a las comunidades vecinas, lo que ejemplifica el enfoque holístico de SPIC-Zuma Energía hacia la responsabilidad social corporativa.
